Letters of Guarantee Senior Associate

Optimal on behalf of its client, a leading banking institution is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Associate join their Letters of Guarantee team. This role is ideal for dynamic professionals with flexibility and innovation characteristics.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews contractual documents and ensures compliance for the issuance of Domestic and International Bank Guarantees.
• Communicates with clients to draft accurate Guarantee texts and liaises with internal departments and Correspondent Banks.
• Oversees and ensures the smooth execution of Guarantee operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Supervises, guides, and develops team members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring operational efficiency.
• Conducts end-of-day and periodic system audits to prevent pending transactions and ensure account reconciliation.
• Identifies and proposes process improvements to enhance efficiency and risk management.
• Stays updated on banking systems and ensures their proper implementation by the team.

Requirements

• 6 + years of experience in banking (preferably in Letters of Guarantee or Trade finance department)
• BSc in Economics, Management or other related degree
• Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, also with attention to detail
• Organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure, and cooperate with many people
