What you will do

As Account Executive (AE) at OTIV, you will take charge of managing and growing relationships with key accounts across Europe, driving business expansion and delivering solutions that meet client needs. You will engage with major rail operators, industrial customers, and rolling stock manufacturers, working closely with these stakeholders to identify synergies and transform them into valuable, long-term partnerships. As a strategic and data-driven professional, you will navigate complex sales cycles and lead contract negotiations with senior executives, ensuring successful partnerships and customer satisfaction. As part of the Sales Team, you’ll be a vital contributor in shaping OTIV's future in the rail industry!

Tasks and responsibilities

As an AE at OTIV you will

  • Build and manage lasting relationships with strategic accounts across various European industries.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract signature, while focusing on customer success and long-term relationships.
  • Independently negotiate contracts and manage high-level customer relationships, connecting with C-level executives.
  • Feed market and customer insights into OTIV’s product development processes to continuously innovate.
  • Conduct product demonstrations at customer’s sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Represent OTIV at events and fairs to grow presence and network.

  • Degree in business administration, (industrial) engineering, or similar
  • 5+ year of experience in a full cycle sales role, preferably in tech and B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of managing large accounts and driving complex sales cycles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a focus on results and customer success.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and French. Any other European language is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on / self-driven mentality and analytical / data-driven mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for & interest in cutting-edge technology.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the fields of logistics, railway, self-driving technology or software/platform-as-a-service businesses is a strong plus.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced scale-up environment is a strong plus.
