Operations Leader - Intro Video

Operations Leader - The Captain of Accounting Adventures
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Reports To: Visionary/Owner (yeah he’s a little crazy…and yes I’m the one who wrote that)
Role Type: 80% Tactical, 20% Strategic

Ready to helm the ultimate accounting adventure?

We’re searching for our next superhero—a CPA extraordinaire who dreams in spreadsheets, thrives on building extraordinary teams, and is fluent in construction industry lingo (CCIFP anyone?). Bonus points if you laugh at “depreciation jokes” and think gamifying your work sounds like a blast. You should be based in, or willing to relocate to, the beautiful high desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Oh, and did we mention you’ll play a critical role in a transformative acquisition? That’s right, you’ll get to lead the charge as we merge greatness into something even greater (expected timeline: January 31–February 15, 2025).

Your Adventure Includes:

     Client Operations Wizardry

Be the CPA of all CPAs—sign off on client financial compilations, ensuring every decimal is dazzlingly accurate.

Oversee all client-facing accounting operations, including outsourced CFO services and team leadership.

Resolve client concerns like a pro, serving as the calm eye of any storm.

Use cutting-edge tools (AI, automation, and more!) to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

     Team Leadership Extraordinaire

Build and develop high-performing teams that hit their stride with clarity, accountability, and purpose.

Create gamified incentives like “merit badges” for team skill development—because why not make work fun?

Keep morale high and workloads balanced, like the ultimate team captain you are.

     Operational Excellence Ninja

Craft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so flawless, they’d make Marie Kondo weep with joy.

Spearhead integrations post-acquisition—merging processes, tools, and cultures seamlessly into one powerhouse firm.

Keep us ahead of industry trends, especially in leveraging AI to make accounting magical.

     Strategic Trailblazing

Collaborate with our Visionary and Integrator to craft operational strategies that align with our big dreams.

Lead change management efforts with grace and gumption during acquisitions and transitions.

Support our growth by identifying and implementing best-in-class tech and workflows.

     Content Creation Champion

Showcase our expertise through videos, blogs, and other media. If you’re camera-shy, don’t worry—we’ll help you find your inner YouTube star!

     Construction Accounting Guru

Put your construction industry expertise to work by guiding the team on job costing, progress billing, and inventory management.

Earn (or already have) your CCIFP credential within your first year to solidify your spot as the go-to construction accounting expert.

Key Metrics of Success

       Client satisfaction and retention rates.

       Team capacity utilization and engagement.

Accuracy of client deliverables and audit compliance.

You’re Our Kind of Leader If You Are

A Servant Leader: You’re the ultimate cheerleader for your team, equipping them with the tools, support, and confidence they need to knock it out of the park. Watching them grow and succeed is your jam—and you’re always ready to lend a helping hand (or spreadsheet).

Operationally Savvy: You’re basically the Mr. (or Mrs!) Miyagi of accounting operations. You make optimizing processes and delivering results look as easy as balancing a budget.

Culturally Aligned: You don’t just talk the talk but you live by our core values:

Human First: We prioritize the individual behind every interaction and believe in the importance of treating every person with kindness and respect.

Team Second: Emphasizing the strength and importance of collaboration. We build strong teams internally, and we want to be a part of your team too

Appreciation of Humor: Infusing joy and laughter into our work. While we’re serious about the work we do, we hope you’ll laugh with us along the way.

Join the Party!: Active participation and engagement in every endeavor. We love being invited to the party so that we can be active team players in helping you reach your business and personal goals.

A Tech Enthusiast: AI, automation, and cutting-edge tools? Yes, please! You’re not afraid to geek out about emerging tech and how it can make life easier for the team and our clients.

A Change Agent: You’re the glue that holds it all together during transitions. Whether it’s merging teams or implementing new tools, you handle change like a pro and turn challenges into opportunities.

A Content Creator: Lights, camera, action! You’re not camera-shy and can bring energy and creativity to blogs, videos, and branding efforts, helping us connect with clients in fresh, fun ways.

Qualifications

A CPA license holder (because this role demands it).

Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) certification is required, and if you don’t have it, you need to get it in the first year.

Strong understanding of client accounting operations, including outsourced CFO services.

Proficient in creating and implementing SOPs, leveraging technology, and managing change.

Experience with or willingness to become certified in the Profit First methodology within the first year.

Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams through gamification or similar engagement strategies.

Why This Role Rocks:

Impact: You’ll be the driving force behind our operational success during a major acquisition and beyond.

Growth: Shape the future of a CPA firm that’s growing in both size and ambition.

Fun: We’re serious about the work we do but don’t take ourselves too seriously.
