We have been operating since 1999, and our headquarters are in Sydney. Today, Permaconn is an internationally recognised brand with our secure monitoring solutions covering the commercial, retail, and residential sectors in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Papua New Guinea.

The Opportunity

The Senior Marketing Manager will build on 6-8 months of agency work across brand strategy and ultimately roll up their sleeves to finalise and deliver the new Permaconn group website after the business acquired two additional businesses. This is an initial three-month contract with potential to lead to a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development

  • Defining the website's purpose and aligning it with overall marketing objectives.
  • Ensuring a visually appealing and brand-consistent website design.
  • Prioritising user experience and optimising the website for mobile devices.
  • Developing and managing website content, including product information, and customer testimonials.
  • Utilising CRM data to understand customers based on demographics, behaviour, and preferences, creating targeted marketing campaigns for each segment.
  • Interface and seek input from all senior leaders within the business in delivering rebrand, whilst being enthusiastically “hands-on” in all aspects of marketing delivery copywriting and all other workstreams required to launch the new website.

Demand Generation and new customer acquisition

  • Identifying target audiences and understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Analysing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Setting measurable goals and KPIs to track campaign effectiveness.

Product marketing

  • Crafting compelling product positioning and messaging that highlights the value proposition and benefits for customers.
  • Translating complex technical features into clear and concise customer-facing language.
  • Ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Creating sales tools and materials, such as product presentations, brochures, and demos.
  • Developing competitive analysis materials to help the sales team address customer objections.
  • Staying up to date with regulatory changes and industry standards.

Trade event management

  • Developing pre-event marketing campaigns to generate attendee interest.
  • Creating engaging event materials, such as brochures, presentations, and demos.
  • Utilising digital marketing channels to promote the company's presence at events.
  • Creating social media content during the event to increase online presence.
  • Networking with industry professionals, partners, and potential customers.

What you need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience with digital marketing, demand generation, and product marketing in a tech or communications context is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communications skills (both Written and Verbal) & interpersonal skills

Your Experience

  • Experience in a Marketing Manager capacity, preferably in a B2B or technology-driven industry however not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the technology or telecommunications industry.
