Summary of Position:
Penta is seeking a Managing Director to help lead our Brand Strategy team. As one of the most senior members within the business, the Managing Director, Brand Strategy will provide oversight and coordination across multiple client accounts, including leadership on client service, strategy, and team management. Managing Directors are also central to the firm's overall growth strategy, including business development, coordination across the firm's business lines, and communication with senior leadership. Managing directors work closely with partners and directors, providing guidance and higher-level strategic insights.
With direct access to the firm’s most senior leadership and the opportunity to build and mentor a high-performing team, you will have the autonomy to help shape the future of our Brand Strategy practice, directly influencing the direction of the firm’s growth while driving meaningful results for high-profile clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious, individual to take on a senior leadership role in an agency that's growing fast, helping to guide the creative development of client campaigns while also defining the strategies that will enable the Brand Strategy business to continue succeeding at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client service: Ensure highest quality of client service by leveraging prior experience and maintaining current knowledge base of clients' business and industries
- Brand strategy and development: Lead teams employing research and testing to inform the development of brands, products, and campaigns
- Program management: Oversee and coordinate across multiple teams, streamlining working relationships and creating/managing processes to improve internal communications and culture
- Resource management: Guide directors in prioritizing team resources, including employee time
- Staff development: Lead internal skills development sessions for new hires along with day-to-day coaching through client work and internal projects
- Client acquisition: Drive proposal writing process and pitch preparation and coordination, helping potential clients understand the value of our Brand Strategy offerings
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional experience in brand strategy, marketing, advertising, or a related creative field, including 10+ years of personnel management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate multiple talented, high-achieving teams at once, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working in a client service environment under a multi-client support model
-Previous work on public affairs or public awareness campaigns, or on complex campaigns surrounding issues like healthcare, finance, agriculture, or technology is preferred
- Previous work experience in a professional services organization is preferred
- Experience working on, and managing, remote teams is preferred
Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position will be $175,000 - $210,000 depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the position.

Location and Remote Schedule:
This position is for US-based personnel and is fully remote, with a preference for candidates who can work Eastern Time hours.
