Job Description

The Senior Media Buyer will drive profitable and scalable campaigns across paid channels, focusing on Facebook and Instagram. This role is perfect for someone with an eye for strategy and execution, a knack for funnel optimization, and the ability to analyze data to make informed marketing decisions.

This role is also perfect for the savvy, experienced marketer with an extensive track record running millions of dollars in meta ads (ideally to high-ticket offers). You understand that profitable, scalable campaigns go beyond the ads manager by knowing how to fine-tune every stage of the funnel (not just the ads).

Your time will mostly be spent in 3 core areas: 

  • You will live in Meta Ads Manager on a daily basis setting up, launching, and optimizing campaigns. 
  • You will make tweaks to landing and deeper funnel pages (they use Convertri) to improve opt-in rate and calls booked for their coaching offer. 
  • You will analyze funnel data and the quality of leads and calls booked to help you course-correct as needed.

You are successful when you have tripled the inbound call volume with qualified leads (they mostly run an evergreen webinar funnel).

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the strategy and execution of new client acquisition from paid traffic sources.
  • Manage and optimize Meta Ads campaigns with a focus on driving high-quality leads and achieving a strong ROAS.
  • Conduct A/B testing for creatives, copy, audiences, and funnel pages (using VWO) to continuously improve campaign and funnel performance.
  • Track email performance in autoresponder sequence and improve where needed (either writing the emails yourself or working with our copywriter).
  • Audit and improve existing sales funnels to ensure seamless transitions and minimal drop-off at every stage.
  • Collaborate with the design and development teams to test and optimize landing pages, forms, and checkout flows for higher conversion rates.
  • Track and analyze key metrics, including CTR, CPC, CPL, ROAS, and funnel conversion rates.
  • Create detailed reports with actionable insights to inform future optimizations.
  • Work closely with copywriters, designers, and video editors to create high-converting ad campaigns and funnel assets.
  • Provide insights to the broader marketing team to ensure alignment across paid and organic efforts.
  • Have a deep understanding of our marketing assets (ie. webinars, trainings, whitepapers, etc…) so they can be leveraged to grow our list and get clients. 
  • Keep an open line of communication with relevant team members (on Slack), including the sales team to keep a pulse on the quality of leads booking calls (and their conversions). 
  • Speed of communication and execution is imperative in this role (getting something done by EOD means 5 pm, not 2 am) and communication via Slack throughout the day is encouraged to ensure relevant stakeholders are kept informed.

Goals

Help our client get to at least $30k/day in ad spend on Facebook/Instagram while meeting the following metrics:

  1. 30 calls booked per day at less than $900/call booked (currently - 10 calls booked/day at $1,500/call booked) and a lead score > 2.75/4
  2. 30-day cash collected ROAS of at least 2x (current ad spend is about $10k-$15k/day at 1.2 to 1.5x cash collected ROAS)
  3. CAC under $6,000 (currently $9,800)

Qualifications

  • 5-9+ years of tactical & strategic experience in digital marketing with a proven track record helping grow an online company (ideally service or coaching-based) beyond $10 million in revenue. 
  • Expert-level understanding of Facebook ads and a track record of having scaled campaigns/accounts to $400k+ in monthly spend - PROFITABLY and CONSISTENTLY (not just once). Google/YouTube ads experience is a big plus.
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing, including lead generation, nurturing, and sales conversion.
  • Technical proficiency using Instagram, Facebook (ads), LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, Gmail, Google Analytics Asana, Slack, Convertri, Ontraport, and Hyros.
  • Able to write (if needed) Facebook ads, VSL or video ad scripts, and/or web/landing pages that connect with our audience (in our voice) and convert.
  • Sharp copywriting skills and understanding of conversion rate optimization with the ability to improve and optimize a marketing asset for better conversions.
  • Player-coach mindset with the ability to mentor and develop junior marketers while also being able to get some of the heavy lifting done such as writing high-converting copy.
  • Self-starter with the energy, focus, and willingness to work in a fast-growing culture and help our client grow beyond $50M in revenue (within 2-3 years).
  • You LOVE DATA and understand how to track and improve campaigns based on important metrics.
  • You can handle a high volume of work, manage pressure well, and get things done quickly with attention to detail.
  • You have a high intolerance for “average” and working with B-players. You want to be the best at what you do, produce the best possible work, and only work with the best people. And you don’t shy away from having hard conversations with those who don’t meet those standards.
  • You are OBSESSED with growing and getting better. You voraciously consume content (marketing and sales-related podcasts, books, courses, etc…) to help you sharpen your sword.
  • You’ve studied (or worked with) some of the marketing greats like Alex Hormozi, Ogilvy, Eugene Schwartz, Brian Kurtz, Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss (Digital Marketer), Perry Belcher, Dan Kennedy, Joe Polish, Russell Brunson, Ezra Firestone, Dean Jackson, etc… (if you don’t know who these people are, this isn’t the right role for you).
