Cloud Engineer - SME

Location: Tampa, Florida 

Required Clearance:  TS-SCI

Certifications: Relevant 8140 certification (e.g., SRA+ or CND or Network+ or Security+) plus Computing Operating Environment certification (ITIL 4 Training, AWS Certification OR MS Azure Certification

Required Education:  Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field

Required Experience:  Five plus (5+) years’ experience in managing Cloud platforms

Position Description:  

As the Cloud Engineer, you will provide a hybrid-cloud enterprise end-state, leveraging DoD CONUS and OCONUS cloud for both classified and unclassified on-premises data centers, and tactical edge cloud computing equipment, to provide operational and business efficiencies associated with cloud technology.  This is in direct support of the CENTCOM mission at Mac Dill AFB, Tampa FL. 

Responsibilities:

• Provides cloud consulting services related to design, architecture, and estimate of future modernized cloud systems

• Provides operations, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud applications within all USCENTCOM cloud environments

• Develops cloud services strategies and provides recommendations on how to transform business solutions into using private and public cloud services

• Familiarity with or expertise in one or more Cloud Service Providers

Required Qualifications

• TS-SCI

• Five plus (5+) years’ experience in managing Cloud platforms
