We have a newly created role for an Operations Improvement Analyst who will play a key role in identifying inefficiencies and enhancing business workflows at Plexus. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this hands-on role focuses on process mapping, workflow optimisation, and operational improvements, with a focus of adopting emerging technology. By analysing existing operations and recommending streamlined solutions, the Analyst will contribute to Plexus’s culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and high performance. You will collaborate with teams across Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success to ensure operational excellence while providing critical systems support that keeps our teams running smoothly.

The role is open to either Melbourne or Sydney.



Background
  • You’re a proactive problem solver with a passion for improving workflows and optimizing technology systems. You have an analytical mindset and thrive in fast-paced environments where you can take ownership of projects and drive impactful change.
  • 1–3 years in an operations, process improvement, or business support role.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow analysis, process mapping, and process improvements.
  • Exposure to business systems, automation tools, or digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
  • A track record of working with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Hugely curious about emerging technologies.
  • Strong ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
  • Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro, Visio) is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to ask the right questions and uncover root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., Google Suite, Zapier, Airtable, Notion).
  • Interest in AI and process automation trends to enhance efficiency.
  • Ability to clearly document and present process recommendations to non-technical teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at different levels.

Success Metrics
  • Process Efficiency Gains - Document and optimize at least 10 key business workflows in the first 12 months.
  • Time Savings - Support automation and workflow enhancements that save 1,500+ manual work hours annually.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction - Achieve a 90%+ satisfaction score from teams benefiting from workflow improvements.


Role - Operations Improvement
  • Partner with internal teams to analyze, document, and enhance existing workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend simplified, scalable solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Support the implementation of automation tools to reduce manual effort.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to uncover patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track KPIs and efficiency metrics to measure process effectiveness.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, refining workflows based on real data.
  • Assist in training and documentation to ensure smooth adoption of new workflows and tools.
  • Evaluate and implement low-code/no-code automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Airtable, Google Suite) to drive operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all process improvements align with security and data integrity best practices.


Role - Systems Support
  • Hardware & System Management - Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of company hardware to ensure a seamless technology experience for employees.
  • Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting -  Provide effective support to cross-functional teams, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Technology Research & Innovation -  Identify and recommend emerging technologies that enhance business productivity.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance -  Work with IT security to maintain device security, safeguard company data, and uphold cybersecurity best practices.
  • Technical Support & Enablement -  Act as a key contact for hardware and software-related inquiries, simplifying technical challenges for employees.
  • Future-proofing & Scalability -  Optimize the company’s tech infrastructure to ensure efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
