• Actively participate in the creation, improvement and scaling of automation infrastructure
• Guide the team in coding best practices and design patterns
• Mentor junior team members
• Drive coding standards for the team
• Help integrate the automation test suite into our CI/CD environment
• Help the team prioritize automation work and define automation roadmap
• Review business requirements and attend feature overview walkthroughs
• Design and automate test cases using BDD in an Agile environment
• Execute tests cases and analyze test results
• Report, document, and track resolutions for software defects identified in the testing process using approved tools and processes
• Attend daily standup calls
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
• Expert level in Cypress for UI and API testing
• Expert level in Typescript
• Experience building a cucumber based framework
• Experience using BDD to automate test cases in parallel with feature development
• 6+ years experience doing test automation
• Experience being a technical lead for the rest of the automation team
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interest in the software development lifecycle, focusing on software testing
• Highly motivated, resilient and a tenacious passion for winning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with a SaaS fintech startup preferred
• Mortgage capital markets experience highly preferred
• Python experience a plus
