QA Automation Developer

We are looking for an experienced Automation Developer to join our QA Automation Team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Pontera's products.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated tests and infrastructure to support our testing efforts. As part of a dynamic squad, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, driving innovation, solving complex challenges, and delivering impactful solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and extend automation tests and infrastructure for both UI and API using Python, Pytest, and Playwright.
• Mentor other QA automation developers by conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance on key features.
• Take ownership of new features, ensuring full automation coverage from the design stage to multiple test environments (staging, CI/CD, production, etc.).
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot, and debug failures to provide fast feedback on tested versions.
• Work closely with QA engineers, developers, and product managers to define and develop automated tests, building a stable and scalable automation platform.
• Continuously reduce manual testing efforts by enhancing automation coverage.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in Frontend & Backend test automation projects (must).
• 3+ years of experience in building automation for SaaS products.
• Relevant academic degree.
• 3+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (Java, C#, Python, etc.) – Python is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience with UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) – Playwright is a strong advantage.
• Experience in CI/CD automation tools (Jenkins, TeamCity) – GitHub Actions is a strong advantage.
• Ability to define, design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of quality best practices and methodologies (sanity, E2E, integration, etc.).
• Strong design, coding, and debugging skills (hands-on experience).
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
