The Delivery Enablement (DE) team supports internal stakeholders by providing a robust operational backbone across TAS, TES, OCFO, PI, IM, IB and TRS. The team includes Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Marketing, Data Analytics (DA), Accounting & Finance and Delivery Excellence. As Portage Point continues to grow, the DE team is laser focused on scalability, quality and automation.


The DA team is a cornerstone of Portage Point’s success, providing transformative insights and solutions for internal and external clients alike at every stage of the business lifecycle. The DA team supports external clients by delivering sophisticated data strategies, advanced analytics and actionable business intelligence to drive decision-making and operational excellence. Internally, the Associate, DA will focus on developing internal data-driven solutions and support critical initiatives, including but not limited to ELT pipelines, developing and maintaining cloud data warehouses, working with stakeholders to create data visualizations and supporting various automation efforts across practice lines. The Associate, DA role offers an exceptional opportunity to develop technical and business acumen, work closely with senior leaders while gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects and industries. The ideal associate should be prepared to work within a small, collaborative team environment to manage discrete workstreams and contribute to meaningful client-facing and internal outcomes.


Responsibilities
  • Create high-impact presentations and deliverables for internal and client facing stakeholders (management team, Board of Directors, Practice Line Leaders, investors, etc.)
  • Conduct data analyses, including descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, to uncover insights and drive strategic recommendations for internal and client facing stakeholders
  • Collaborate with senior personnel at Portage Point to deliver tailored data and analytics solutions that address complex business challenges across various client engagements
  • Assist in evaluating and improving client’s data infrastructure, governance and analytics capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Develop and maintain internal data pipelines, models and dashboards using SQL, Python and Power BI to support key decision-making processes
  • Support internal financial and operational model development, including dynamic KPI dashboards and advanced reporting tools
  • Conduct due diligence and market research to support business development and client engagement
  • Support talent acquisition and firm development efforts as needed
  • Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics or other STEM related field from a top undergraduate program
  • Located or willing to relocate to Chicago, Dallas or New York
  • Committed to a team-based culture that involves in-office work four days per week and willing to work at client sites as needed
  • One to three years of experience in data analytics, consulting or a related field with a proven ability to develop and implement data-driven solutions
  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, with demonstrated ability to create and maintain robust data models and visualizations
  • Python proficiency strongly preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with data cleaning, transformation and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environment
  • High degree of maturity with a proven ability to interact with senior executives, private equity sponsors, lenders, lawyers, middle managers and line workers
  • Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting
  • Eagerness to be responsive at all times
  • Proven track-record of success in high pressure, time-constrained environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong corporate e-mail etiquette
  • Top-tier organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit


$100,000 - $120,000 a year
The City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation information for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training, and / or experience related to this role) and therefore may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
