What you'll do- Basic injection mold preparation skills, for example: de-burring mold halves and ejector plates, drilling and tapping holes, installing set screws, locator ring
- Retrieve prepared aluminum molds and install in into LSR injection molding press and sets up appropriate mold heating as needed to support LSR molding processes
- Operate injection molding machine as trained and inspect, finish parts molded as needed
- Visually inspect parts for surface and dimensional defects
- Perform start up and shut downs of Injection molding machines as needed
- Assist B-level finishing operator and LSR mold tech as needed
- Remove molds from the press and stage for disassembly if applicable
- Purge barrel of leftover materials at the conclusion of an order
- Remove molds from the press and stage for storage
· Assemble, Disassemble, clean LSR equipment as needed including screw, barrel removal/installation
- Perform defined routine maintenance on LSR material delivery equipment
· Retrieve and store materials in warehouse and calculate material discrepancies
- Accurately record process specifications into memory of LSR presses
- Identify appropriate resin for upcoming orders and prepare and stage for molding process
- Change out LSR “Bucket kits” in pumps as needed
- Fill, refill and install LSR cartridges on Injection molding machines as needed
- Clean and help organize work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
· Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
- Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance
- Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What it takes - Proven mechanical aptitude
- Experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages)
- Able to be licensed to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane hoist, etc.)
- Able to safely operate hand held and stationary power tools.
- Able to work safely with sharp and heavy objects (e.g., utility knives, aluminum blocks).
- Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators.
- Reaching, bending, and grasping.
- Able to use a computer and calculator. Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Must be punctual and have good attendance
- Must be self-directed and require minimal supervision
- Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail.

$22.05 - $24.50 an hour

Physical Demands:

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
