Senior Technical Manual Developer

Upon contract award, the Senior Logistician will be a member of the team responsible for providing integrated logistics services support for the update, maintenance, conversion and development of technical manuals.

• Preparing technical data packages, data conversion, distribution, support of joint logistics products and processes, and the design, development, testing and fielding support of joint technical data integration. 
• Researching approved online databases and tracking assigned projects from start to Fleet distribution.

• High school, trade/industrial school or bachelor’s degree
• Ten (10) years of experience as a logistician/technical writer developing, modifying, and reviewing Naval shipboard technical documentation and materials.

• Supporting maintenance, repair, testing, product improvement, and/or alteration of Naval Ship HM&E and Electronic/Weapons Handling Systems and Equipment.
• Identifying material and logistics requirements for ship alteration and repair. 
• Navy supply and procurement systems and procedures for requisitioning and purchasing material required to support ship alterations and repairs.
• Researching types and quantities of material and equipment allowed aboard Naval ships. 
• Using the Ship's Configuration and Logistic Support Control (SCLSC) database (1 year minimum).
• Model Based Product Support (MBPS) ensuring Allowance Parts Lists (APL)/Repairable Identification Code (RIC) information is identified and applicability data is accurate.

This position requires the candidate to have/obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
