Job Posting: Precut Assurance Technician
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Purpose/Objective:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring all finished product packaging and package integrity specifications are being followed. This role requires adherence to all safety and quality protocols.
Essential Job Functions:- Conduct all quality monitoring functions on a shift basis, including taking temperatures and measuring pH and chlorine levels.
- Document, maintain, and update all records for the processing room.
- Work effectively with production to satisfy specification requirements.
- Provide support in the overall coordination of housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation activities.
- Assist and support overall QA initiatives.
Additional Job Functions:- Provide ongoing support in identifying compliance gaps and devising corrective actions as needed.
- Generate and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Perform internal audits of processing room processes and procedures.
Working Conditions/Job Environment:- Must be able to lift bulky objects: 25-40 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Physical activity: Standing 30% | Walking 50% | Sitting 20%.
- Work environment: Cold, damp conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0 - 12 months of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative.
- Capable of performing hands-on tasks when necessary.
- Demonstrates key leadership qualities, including a positive attitude, strong work ethic, goal-oriented mindset, and decisive nature.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bilingual (Spanish).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, changing schedules, and daily assignments.
- Strong sense of urgency and focus on task completion.
- Experience working in refrigerated environments.
