Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to review floor plans and elevations, price out kitchens based on design specifications, and ensure accurate project cost estimates. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and exceptional organizational abilities to support our design and project management teams effectively.

SALARY: $6 - $7 per hour and is commensurate with skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and Analyze Floor Plans: Interpret architectural floor plans and elevations to extract relevant details for kitchen design and estimation.
• Cost Estimation: Calculate and price out kitchen layouts based on floor plan specifications, including cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and appliances.
• Material and Vendor Coordination: Research and source materials, ensuring accurate pricing from suppliers and vendors.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and estimation reports for client presentations and project proposals.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with design and sales teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements and client expectations.
• Quality Assurance: Verify accuracy and completeness of estimates, ensuring all details are accounted for before submission.
• Market Trends and Pricing: Stay updated on market trends, pricing structures, and new materials to provide competitive and accurate estimates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in construction, kitchen design, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and design floor plans.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with kitchen design principles and materials.
• Experience in working with vendors and negotiating prices.
• Knowledge of construction project workflows and timelines.
