JOB: GRANT WRITER
An effective Grant Writer should have excellent research and communication skills. They should be able to clearly communicate in both written and verbal communication, especially in grant proposals, as this is their primary duty. Include any special duties that you expect the successful candidate to perform.
- Assist with the execution of the development of the department’s strategy
- Identify grant funding opportunities
- Write, submit and manage grant proposals
- Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents
- Collaborate with the CEO/Executive Team or Practice Owner to send proposals, newsletters or correspondences.
- Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
- Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
- Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
- Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
- Proven work experience as a Grant Writer or similar role
- Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals
- Great with MS Office Word and Excel
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
- Exceptional organizational and writing skills
- Excellent research and communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in creative writing or related field
