Reporting to the Sr. Manager of audience Development, you will drive the operational and editorial excellence of Red Bull’s Owned Channels, including Redbull.com and Red Bull TV. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for translating media goals into exceptional Owned content experiences, a thoughtful programming mind to curate Red Bull’s web and app homepages, and an eye on the industry to identify how Owned channels and programming can grow and evolve within Red Bull and the industry. This role is integral in shaping compelling content experiences by maintaining editorial standards and executing direct-to-consumer communication, ensuring consistent tone, voice, and strategy across all storytelling and messaging. The Manager of Owned Channel Operations supports the Owned Programming team in all publishing operations, SEO editorial strategy, and content optimization.
CHANNEL OPERATIONS & CONTENT CURATION
Lead channel operations, managing and executing tasks and projects with precision and ensuring completion.
Lead RedBull.com and Red Bull TV homepage curation to optimize onsite recirculation, driving increased time spent.
Help develop and maintain the RedBull.com editorial and event calendar to ensure pipeline of content.
CONTENT QUALITY & COPYWRITING
Ensure the highest content quality for every piece published by instituting a clear and efficient copyedit review process and style guide.
Responsible for content optimizations based on CMS and platform expertise.
Collaborate with Owned Programming team to develop and grow strategic email, text, and push notification campaigns.
Craft compelling and impactful copy that connects our brand with consumers across multiple touch points. This includes direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels like email, text, and push notifications; creating optimized, high-impact headlines for on-platform clicks, SEO ranking, and social sharing; and occasional editorial stories for RedBull.com.
EDITORIAL AND SEO CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Partner with external SEO agency to execute content optimization, keyword research, and SEO content development strategies informed by SEO tactics, driving increased organic traffic to owned channels.
Develop and work with a freelance network of diverse writers and content producers to commission text and image content for publication on RedBull.com across Sports, Culture, and Brand (e.g., skate, gaming, F1, bike, music, dance, and athletes).
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS & STRATEGIC INSIGHTS
Analyze performance and audience insights to inform data-driven content and communication strategies.
Use internal systems (e.g., PEMO dashboard, Media Planet) to track, analyze, and optimize the success of editorial, SEO, and direct-to-consumer projects.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
Collaborate with stakeholders locally and regionally to source stories that build Brand equity and awareness.
Collaborate across global markets and stakeholders to synchronize US editorial initiatives with international programming calendars and cross-market projects.
5 years of experience in digital publishing, content marketing, and email/text campaigns, ideally with a major media group or marketing organization
Expertise in audience & web trends
Experience managing external content creators and commissioning work from the freelance team
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
Project management experience is a plus
Strong analytical mindset that can extrapolate micro-trends into big-picture strategy
Expert knowledge of the US media landscape.
Expert storyteller
Background in SEO, content commissioning, and E-mail marketing
Excellent coordination, analytical, and organizational skills.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $101,365 to $112,034 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. Range may differ for NYC & SFO Bay Area work locations
