Release Planner/Configuration Management Support

RGi is looing for a dynamic Release Planner/Configuration Management Support professional to join our innovative team. In this vital role, you will be at the helm of guiding Scrum, Agile, or SAFe teams, while expertly managing the intricacies of configuration management and supporting our release planning initiatives. Your skills for coordinating product development activities, engaging with clients, and maintaining a well-organized Program Increment backlog will play a crucial role in driving projects to success.

As you take charge of overseeing Program Increment Planning Events and Release Planning Events, your expertise in managing DoD schedules, performing Schedule Risk Assessments, and handling essential technical program artifacts will be paramount to our operations. If you bring a robust background in federal government contracts, configuration management, process improvement, and you have a passion for seeing teams thrive, we want to hear from you.

Active Top Secret clearance with willingness and ability to obtain an SCI and CI polygraph

In the role of Release Planner/Configuration Management Support you will...
  • Guide Scrum, Agile, or SAFe teams to ensure effective project management and execution.
  • Oversee the intricacies of configuration management to maintain organizational integrity in workflows.
  • Actively assist in initiatives related to release planning to ensure timely and successful project delivery while streamlining activities related to product development to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Keep a well-organized backlog for Program Increments to facilitate effective planning and prioritization.
  • Take charge of Program Increment Planning Events and Release Planning Events to align team efforts with project timelines while overseeing schedules related to Department of Defense (DoD) projects to meet compliance and timing requirements.
  • Conduct assessments to identify potential risks in project schedules and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage essential technical program artifacts critical to the project's success efficiently.


Release Planner/Configuration Management Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience leading Scrum, Agile, or SAFe teams
  • 2+ years of experience interacting with clients
  • Experience coordinating product development activities across the program or project, and developing requirements or user stories
  • Experience evaluating Feature Readiness, Sprint Reviews, and Demos
  • Experience managing and maintaining a Program Increment backlog
  • Experience running Program Increment Planning Events or Release Planning Events
  • 1+ years of experience working with minimal supervision as a Configuration Management specialist (or assisting the Configuration Manager)
  • 1+ years of experience reviewing government documents, briefs, and engineering drawings
  • Experience in a flexible environment and interacting with multiple stakeholders for project success
  • Experience with supporting programs and contracts within the federal government
  • Experience with creating, managing, and integrating DoD schedules
  • Experience with performing Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA)
  • Experience with program artifacts, such as Technical Performance Requirements (TPRs), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition system
  • Ability to identify areas and opportunities of process improvement, including automation to enhance scheduling efficiency


Additional Things We Would Like to See:
  • Experience supporting the Senior Configuration Manger
  • Strong knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Adobe Acrobat Professional for document assembly and editing
