We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to work remotely as a Word Processing Assistant / Transcriptionist – Data Entry. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing audio or written content into typed documents, formatting and proofreading text, and entering information into digital systems. This is a simple, repetitive task-based job ideal for someone with strong typing skills and the ability to work independently from home.
Responsibilities:
• Listen to audio recordings or review written content and accurately transcribe into digital documents
• Format and edit documents according to templates or provided guidelines
• Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, or word processing software
• Perform spell-checks and proofread completed work for grammar and accuracy
• Save and organize files in proper folders and cloud storage systems
• Follow confidentiality policies when handling sensitive information
• Meet assigned daily or weekly quotas for transcription and data tasks
• Respond to supervisor communications via email or chat regarding task updates
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
• Strong typing skills (minimum 50 WPM preferred)
• Proficiency with word processing tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs)
• Good grammar, spelling, and proofreading abilities
• Ability to follow formatting guidelines and transcription protocols
• Basic time management and the ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Previous experience in data entry, transcription, or administrative roles
