Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation and accurately code primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions
• Ensure accurate sequencing of diagnoses and procedures and DRG/APC assignment
• Abstract and compile data from medical records for optimal reimbursement and assist with other assigned duties

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification as a Coding Specialist
• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Coder
• Knowledge of the No Surprises Act (NSA)
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT systems
