Under direction, the Diaper Distribution Support Clerk performs difficult, responsible and specialized clerical work and may assign clerical and office work to subordinate personnel. This is a senior-level position. Incumbents in this role will provide daily support to the Human Services Agency (HSA) service centers providing diapers to qualifying clients, by managing the supply chain and distribution aspects associated with ensuring each service center has an adequate supply of all sizes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Picks up and distributes diapers from Help A Mother Out (HAMO) HSA service centers. This includes performing daily resupply deliveries (as needed) in a City vehicle.
• Ensures adequate stock of diapers based on basic Supply Chain Management principles. Adjusts supply deliveries based on service center needs.
• Performs a wide variety of documentation duties related to diaper distribution and inventory. This may include daily inventory reports related to distribution (tracking the number of diapers and which center they are being delivered to), and other various reports related to departments, as needed.
• Regularly contacts internal and external partners to ensure diaper distribution is successful. This may include talking to HAMO representatives for inventory purposes, talking to other HSA personnel regarding distribution topics.
• Provides information and answers questions to the public, departmental personnel, and other departments.
• Assigns clerical and office work to subordinate personnel as needed.
• Codes, indexes, and maintains documents, records and correspondence relative to office operations. Methods may include color code, terminal digit, numerical, alphabetical and/or chronological order to ensure proper filing and ready access of data.
• Operates office equipment, including calculators, photocopying equipment, adding machines, computer terminals, microfiche viewers, fax machines and postage meters.
• Processes mail: Opens, times stamps, sorts and distributes the incoming mail; stuffs and seals envelopes; makes daily pickup and delivery to ensure timely mailing and receipt of mail.
