Electrical Engineer Entry Level – Tysons

Join Salas O’Brien as an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer, assisting in design and testing of electrical systems.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:
• Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits, systems, and products using Revit.
• Support the development of schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical design requirements are met.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and analysis to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications.
• Assist in the testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design and construction phases.
• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
• Assist in the creation of technical presentations and project status updates.
• Work with senior engineers and project managers to meet project deadlines and milestones.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of electrical components and systems.
• Provide support during the manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure product quality and performance.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer).
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, signal processing, and power distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in an electrical engineering role is a plus, but not required.
• Preferred Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
• Preferred Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
• Preferred Basic knowledge of embedded systems or control systems.
• Preferred Understanding of Revit.
