FHIR Interoperability Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a FHIR Interoperability Specialist to coordinate and support public health FHIR interoperability activities and related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of electronic interfaces aligned with HL7 FHIR standards
• Provide HL7 FHIR technical expertise and develop documentation for interface workflows and quality assurance processes
• Lead strategic planning to assess agency-level FHIR readiness and support TDH EDI Interoperability enhancement activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health informatics, epidemiology, computer science, or related field with 5 years of relevant HL7 FHIR experience
• Preferred PhD or Master's degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant HL7 FHIR experience
• Experience with FHIR implementation and public health or clinical information systems
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR implementation guides and electronic data interchange (EDI) engines
• Experience providing technical training on FHIR interoperability standards
