Florida Licensed Government Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter to support mortgage operations in the Northeast or Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring adherence to company policy and standards
• Process various loan types including Bond, USDA, Jumbo, Non-QM, Renovation, and Construction
• Maintain communication with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan statuses and assist with training of other mortgage positions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Must possess a valid DE designation; LAPP/SAR designation preferred
• Experience with Bond, USDA, Jumbo, Non-QM, Renovation, and Construction loans is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input and interpretation
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
