Delta Air Lines’ Operations & Customer Center (OCC) is seeking a graduate technical intern available for a summer position.
OCC interns will be assigned to one of the teams that support Delta’s 24/7 operation. The OCC is the “heartbeat” and nerve center of Delta’s world-wide operations and is responsible for all tactical and strategic decision-making for any operational disruption in our worldwide network.

This OCC intern will be assigned to our Flight Control team, which is responsible for safely planning and monitoring over one million Delta flights annually.
Though individual responsibilities may vary, this intern will be expected to lead efforts in:
• Developing an ethical framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy and guidelines within the division that supports the current and future workforce
• Assisting in determining opportunities for AI and machine learning that support and enhance decision-making capabilities
• Determining data requirements that enable next-generation decision support tools

• Must be a graduate student with a focus in policy-making with experience in Artificial Intelligence or a similar background.
• Must be available full-time for the Summer 2025 semester on a 8AM – 5PM work schedule.
• Working as an intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
• Must be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA.
• Willingness to brainstorm with and leverage expertise of other team members, maintaining a team-first attitude with success of your team as top priority.
• Candidate is team-oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
• Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
• Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
• Espouse Deltas values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

• Background and experience in AWS, data engineering, and building AI/ML solutions
• Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
• Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving Delta’s customers
