Plexis Healthcare Systems, Inc., a progressive software development company in Ashland, OR, is looking to hire an enthusiastic and experienced Healthcare Interface Specialist. This position is remote. Please apply at www.plexishealth.com

Position Purpose

The Healthcare Interface Specialist is responsible for driving interface deployments with Plexis clients, inclusive of analysis, solution approach, implementation, deployment and training. A primary goal is achievement of high levels of customer satisfaction and the successful leveraging and evolution of Plexis products to meet market needs. This position works in a team environment on a client/project basis, as well as within ongoing planning and execution processes in coordination with other Plexis departments and is required to lead conference calls with the appropriate team members.

The scope of the interfaces pertinent to this position encompasses system-to-system electronic data interchange (EDI) functions for client healthcare projects, including X12 imports and exports, core configuration data loading, data conversion, application programming interfaces (APIs) and integrations to APIs, and flat-file data mapping, and reporting. Close collaboration by the Healthcare Interface Specialist with other team members (Project Managers, Business Analysts, etc) and other departments is essential to maintain alignment between products and projects, with the outcome of successful deployments and maintenance of client system interfaces/integrations.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties
• Collaborate with clients to collect business requirements and identify functional gaps for claims processing and benefit administration software, especially in the area of integrations and EDI.
• Conduct discovery and requirements gathering sessions relative to interfaces/integrations, including end to end analysis inclusive of the core claims/administration system.
• Identify needs and coordinate deployment of Plexis staff for software installation, analysis of client’s business requirements and functional gaps, as well as training in support of overall implementation of Plexis interface/integration software solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed interface project documentation, including requirements, data flow diagrams, system context diagrams and issue logs.
• Develop and maintain industry knowledge, especially related to integration topics (web services, APIs, X12 standards, FHIR, CAQH Core requirements, etc) through websites, seminars, self-directed research and training sessions.
• Support executives, project managers, sales, and functional managers with technical knowledge for interfaces and EDI-related topics.
• Provide recommendations and feedback for priorities and objectives for Plexis interface/integration products to meet the evolving needs of the Plexis client base, and the broader market that Plexis serves.
• Work cooperatively with various departments within Plexis as the client advocate and subject matter expert in the area of integrations and interfaces.
• Drive successful project execution as lead of interface/integration tracks during client implementations of Plexis software.
• Proactive engagement with AI technologies: Demonstrated interest in exploring, evaluating, and adopting artificial intelligence tools to enhance personal productivity and support team objectives.
• Applied use of AI for operational improvement: Willingness and ability to leverage AI-driven solutions to improve research, streamline interface development, accelerate problem resolution, and enhance the overall efficiency, quality, and agility of EDI processes.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred
• Motivated, self-disciplined, and results-oriented in delivering superior service to clients
• Ability to interact well with people at all levels
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with implementing complex business software applications, including integration projects connected to healthcare claims processing and benefit administration solutions
• Strong knowledge of Excel, X12 (837, 834, 278, 270/271, 276/277, 835, etc), and SQL required
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Service Integration Services) and/or other data integration platforms, including web service integrations is preferred
• Analytical and highly organized
• Demonstrated interest in exploring, evaluating, and adopting artificial intelligence tools to enhance personal productivity and support team objectives
• Willingness and ability to leverage AI-driven solutions to improve research, streamline interface development, accelerate problem resolution, and enhance the overall efficiency, quality, and agility of EDI processes
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and business modeling

Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position
• Ability to access input and retrieves information from a computer to produce typed copy
• Capacity to communicate adequately, in person or via telephone, in a manner, which can be understood by those with whom the Client Support Specialist is speaking
• Capability of dialing or otherwise using a telephone to place and receive telephone calls
• Willingness and capacity to sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time
• Capacity to pick up, leaf through and read books and files and other materials
• Ability to reach forward, up, down and to the side in order to move equipment up to 40 lbs
• Ability to interact cohesively with co-workers, clients, vendors and partner companies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with competing deadlines and changing priorities

Willingness and ability to maintain regular attendance for normally scheduled hours, to work overtime and to be flexible to work other shifts as necessary (i.e., potential weekend schedule).

Salary Range: $61,926 – $82,754 Depending on Experience
