Healthcare Workforce Program Specialist

As the Healthcare Workforce Program Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of quality improvement initiatives across a designated region, focused on workforce support, including burnout, joy, trauma-informed care, staff shortages, and workplace safety.

You must live in Colorado, Idaho, or Iowa.
Approximate salary for Colorado: $95,000 – $110,000
Essential Functions
• You will support a team of Quality Improvement Advisors (QIAs) to ensure the delivery of effective technical assistance (TA), achievement of project goals, and compliance with deliverables
• You will serve as a subject matter expert in workforce topic areas and work collaboratively with state and regional leadership teams to standardize processes, identify opportunities for improvement, address challenges, and ensure the alignment of interventions with organizational and project-wide goals
• You will also be responsible for partner engagement across the region, including supporting relationships with state, regional and national partners

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, public health, or a related field, required
• Proven ability to design, implement, and support a regional technical assistance strategy tailored to providers’ unique needs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety, workforce well-being, burnout/mental health, and staff recruitment/retention topic areas and hands-on experience in nursing homes, hospitals, and/or clinician offices.
• In-depth understanding of quality measures and QI methodologies in key focus areas, including evidence-based interventions that will improve outcomes and knowledge of barriers and drivers for improvement in key focus areas
• Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs, workshops, and learning collaboratives to build capacity in quality improvement practices among healthcare professionals

Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Clinical licensure (e.g., RN, LPN, MSW, PharmD).
• Quality and workforce-related certifications/training (e.g., CPHQ, trauma-informed care, well-being, coaching, etc.).
• Master’s degree in public health, quality improvement science, health informatics, or related field.
• Proven experience in supervising and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, including QIFs or equivalent roles.
• Proven ability to manage project timelines, meet deadlines, and produce detailed written reports.
• Experience in translating complex data into actionable insights and meaningful narratives for multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and non-clinical audiences.
