Insurance Credit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialist, Insurance Credit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze accounts and credit balance reports from insurance carriers and patients
  • Resolve patient and insurance credit balance refunds and research unapplied cash activity accounts
  • Document requests and concerns, and respond to insurance companies and patient requests for refunds in a timely manner
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration preferred
  • 1 year of experience in insurance billing/insurance follow up for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers required
  • Experience analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies/payers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding is a plus
