YOUR INTERNSHIP:
As our College Student Agriculture Intern, you’ll report to the Location Manager and dive into various projects, gaining insights into how each department functions. Based on your preferences and our needs, you’ll be able to specialize in the department that excites you the most!
In the sales department, you’ll collaborate with the remarketing group to assess used equipment, engage in video marketing projects, and shadow seasoned sales professionals during customer interactions and equipment appraisals. When you dive into the integrated solutions group, you’ll get to explore John Deere’s Precision Agriculture products, learn about digital tools like Operations Center and JDLink™ Mobile, and understand the capabilities of embedded John Deere technology. With the parts department, you’ll master the Parts Expert system, assist with inventory management, and help merchandise the showroom for promotional events. Finally, you’ll learn how to support our service technicians in the service department by participating in machine assembly, conducting service inspections, and familiarizing yourself with service processes and tools like Service Advisor. This dynamic rotation will provide you with a well-rounded perspective of our business, preparing you for a successful career in the agricultural industry!
At the end of your internship, you will present a final report to our senior management team, highlighting your experiences, completed projects, and suggestions for improving the internship program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
tCurrent college student in the process of obtaining an associate or bachelor’s degree
tExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
