Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legacy System Modernization Engineer (COBOL/JCL to Databricks).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing COBOL and JCL code to extract business logic and data workflows
• Translate and re-engineer legacy processes using Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake)
• Document system behavior and technical design for modern implementation

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL and JCL in a mainframe environment (e.g., z/OS)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake
• Strong understanding of data migration and legacy modernization best practices
• Proficiency with SQL and modern data engineering workflows
• Ability to reverse-engineer and refactor legacy systems for cloud platforms
