Mainframe Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Senior Software Engineer responsible for solving complex issues and developing unique solutions to enhance customer success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new features or product changes
• Investigate, analyze, debug, and solve complex problems while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Create comprehensive internal and external Knowledge Base documentation for use by customers and team members

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with IBM mainframes running z/OS operating system
• At least 5 years of experience with IBM z Assembly language; knowledge of REXX and Cobol is beneficial
• Strong debugging skills and experience with IPCS and reading system dumps
• Working knowledge of major z/OS ecosystem components such as JES, DFSMS, and DB2
• Proficient in systems tools and utilities like JCL and SDSF
