What We’re Looking For

K&L Wine Merchants is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and editorially skilled Part-Time Marketing Editor with a passion for wine and spirits. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the wine and spirits industry and a strong background in writing, editing, and content creation. As Part-Time Marketing Editor, you will be responsible for updating web content and product details by leveraging producer websites and professional publications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of wine and spirits, a sharp editorial eye, and the ability to balance creativity with precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the retail wine and spirits marketplace (e.g. pricing, vintages, regions, producers, and important voices in the industry.
• Regularly update product pages on the company website with updated information, including the latest reviews and information from industry publications where appropriate.
• Generate and edit copy for the website, blog, email marketing efforts, and newsletters.
• Regularly proofread existing copy to ensure it is factually accurate, up to date, and fits within existing parameters; revises text as needed to improve clarity and readability.
• Create marketable product descriptions of current and past releases of wines and spirits from all relevant regions.
• Consistently produce accurate, high quality, error-free copy.
• Routinely meets or exceeds deadlines and editing targets as assigned by the Marketing Manager

Requirements
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-starter with strong time management and deadline-driven approach
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency with Outlook, Office 365, Excel
• Working knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages
• Ability to write creatively, accurately, and quickly on a variety of wine-related subjects
• Editor-quality attention to detail (formatting, grammar, spelling)
• Ability to multi-task and complete work rapidly and accurately without direct supervision
• Willingness to work part-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
• Computer and internet access
