Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately codes hospital inpatient accounts for reimbursement and compliance with regulations
• Analyzes and abstracts complex inpatient cases using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems
• Collaborates with clinical staff and other coders to resolve documentation issues and share coding information

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training preferred
• Minimum of three years of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding experience in a Level 1 Trauma and Rehab hospital
• One of the following certifications required: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC
