Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder, Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately codes hospital inpatient accounts for reimbursement, research, and compliance with regulations
• Analyzes and codes complex inpatient cases using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS classification systems
• Collaborates with senior coders and clinical staff to provide coding advice and share information on complex cases

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training preferred
• Minimum of three years of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding experience in a Level 1 Trauma and Rehab hospital, or four years in inpatient coding
• Certification required: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC
