Medical Record Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Record Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and categorize medical records for pre-visit chart preparation
• Identify and transfer pertinent lab results and key evidence for quality gap closure into the patient's medical record
• Summarize patient trends and communicate findings to clinicians via EMR notes

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree, Medical Record Certification (i.e. AHIMA), or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in the healthcare industry with health information and/or direct medical record review
• Comfort with multiple technology platforms, including various EMRs
• Experience in pre-visit planning is preferred
• Experience with athenahealth and GSuite is preferred
