Growing together.ThePrior Authorization Resolution Coordinatoris responsible for preparation, review and completion of requests for prescription prior resolution support. Coordinator prepares documents related to prior authorization and/or appeal requests, verifying and updating patient/member profile information. This role also compiles medical notes (disease state, drug treatment history and current drug plan) in support of the request, performs outreach for additional information as needed to support the request, and submits prior authorization(s) for approval as an agent of the physician. Update approved requests in claims systems and inform healthcare team of outcome. When applicable, the coordinator forwards applicable requests through additional review path(s) and research financial assistance programs, as needed.Hours:Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm CT ( with some flexibility)You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Support prior authorization resolution in collaboration with Genoa Healthcare Pharmacy locationsInitiate review and appeal process, when neededAids in co-pay assistance set-up, when neededManage reports to ensure all Prior Authorization requests are completed for Genoa Healthcare Pharmacy locationsGenerate reporting to monitor timely completion of prior authorizations resolutionCompletes administrative duties, which include processing mail and faxes, to aid in prior authorization resolutionResearch and stay up to date on insurance plan eligibility and prior authorization criteriaWork independently to complete prior authorization needs from beginning to end and communicate with key stakeholders during the processPerforms other projects, work, and activities as assigned to ensure continuous service to our patients and clientsWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
