Remote Temp to Hire F/T CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician
Our client, a busy Taft Hartley Health & Welfare Fund has an immediate staffing need for a remote experienced temporary to hire full-time CPhT Certified Pharmacy Prior Authorization Technician. Recent Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) experience is preferred. Experience with any of the following software PAHub, RxClaim Pro, or Five9 is a plus. Must live in IL, IN, WI, or TX.
The ability to multi-task handling a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, 30 pharmacy prior authorizations per day, and claims troubleshooting is essential in order to be successful in this role.
The ideal candidate is someone who has at least 3 years of recent pharmaceutical prior-authorization work experience working within a PBM work environment such as (CVS / Caremark, OptumRx, and Catamaran). However, Retail Pharmacy Technicians with 3 years of experience are also welcome to apply.
You must have an Active Pharmacy Technician State License and a Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
During your 4 weeks of training, you will be working Monday-Friday (9:00am to 5:00pm CST).
After training you will have the choice to work either (9:00am to 5:00pm CST) or (11:00am to 7:00pm CST) for a total of 7.5 hours per day and a total of 37.5 paid hours per week.
Job Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for handling phone calls and faxes from, members, providers, pharmacists, and third parties, utilizing the Five9 software and a headset and assisting them with obtaining pharmaceutical prior authorizations with complete computer documentation.
• In this position you will be making a high volume of outgoing calls per day.
• Promptly resolving escalated pharmacy benefit issues and customer service calls.
• In this position you will be required to filter and sort files in Excel.
• You must be familiar with resolving third-party and pharmaceutical claim rejections.
Job Requirements
• 3 years of recent working experience as a CPhT Pharmacy Technician handling prior authorizations.
• Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience is preferred.
• If No PBM experience 3 years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• 3 years of experience working knowledge and experience with third-party medical/prescription payments or third-party rejections and resolving rejected claims experience.
• Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency in sorting and filtering files is essential.
• Experience with any of the following software PAHub, RxClaim Pro, or Five9 is a plus.
