Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Sales Representative:
• Increase business through new client acquisition, sustenance of current accounts, and reduction of lost opportunities to drive profitable sales growth in the assigned region.
• Discover and assess potential opportunities aligned with Sysco’s account stratification goals.
• Scrutinize the business requirements of clients and make recommendations on products and services that are best suited to address those needs.
• Keep yourself informed about the market landscape, product advancements, and the products, pricing, and sales performances of competitors.
• Impart knowledge about the product and deliver training to customer personnel.
• Transport to customer accounts, industry conventions, and Sysco meetings using personal vehicle.
• Execute processes for recovering receivables through communication.
• oversee delivery logistics and resolve any issues that may occur during the order fulfillment process.
• Take part in customer events, promotions, and functions facilitated by Sysco.
• Be proactive in joining both general sales and district-level meetings.
• Take part in consistent training sessions for skill development.
• Guide new employees through the learning curve associated with their new positions.
• Perform clerical duties such as developing sales budgets, updating records, and maintaining reports.
• Supplementary duties as directed.
Qualifications and Experience of Retail Sales Representative:
• To be eligible for this position, applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field. However, a High School Diploma or GED will also be sufficient if accompanied by three years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B sales, or outside sales.
• Fluent in two languages and experienced in managing restaurants, participating in outside sales for food service in diverse environments, or holding a culinary position like that of a chef.
• To meet the criteria, a clear driving record, a valid driver’s license, and insurance for the vehicle are vital.
• All potential hires must consent to pre-employment screening processes, inclusive of drug tests and background checks, alongside signing the Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
• Primary computer skills, adeptness in MS Office applications, and proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
