Job Description
Essential Functions:
Implements the ANA Nursing Process (2010) in executing the following functions:
• Compiles thorough data concerning the health and/or condition of the healthcare recipient.
• Reviews the assessment data to establish a diagnosis or recognize the issues at hand.
• Outlines the projected achievements for a personalized approach designed for the Healthcare recipient.
• Devises a blueprint that recommends methods and choices to reach anticipated goals.
• Executes the designated plan and monitors patient development within the plan.
• Care coordination focuses on ensuring seamless delivery of care.
• Health teaching and health promotion aim to foster health and create a safe environment through various approaches.
• Consulting services are offered by advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists who aim to advise, empower others, and create an impact on the planned initiatives.
• Reviews the journey towards reaching desired results.
Abides by the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010) criteria:
• There is a methodical process in place to raise the standards and efficiency of nursing care delivery

• The responsibilities of a Registered Professional Nurse are defined by the state where they are employed and require them to offer proficient care that meets the standards, policies, and regulations in place. To practice successfully, nurses must follow the guidelines set by accrediting bodies, regulatory authorities, and certification organizations alongside state laws.
• Follows the regulations set forth in the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA 2010).
Skillfully applies relevant technology and software to achieve objectives:
• Aid in documenting nursing interventions and monitoring patient care.
• Ensure you have the necessary access to essential job-related platforms and resources that are crucial for being an involved and committed employee within the company. This includes logging into company email accounts, engaging with iLearn courses, contributing to employee surveys, staying informed about benefits and compensation packages, and understanding company policies and protocols.
• Consistently looks for chances to enhance the quality of patient care by using innovative and imaginative approaches to solve problems.
• Any extra tasks as deemed necessary will be assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) – Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Regarding BLS certification:
The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.
Preferred:
Experience – 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education – Bachelors degree in Nursing
Physical Requirements:
Very Heavy work – exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
