Job Description – School-Based Special Education Teacher:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in Saint Petersburg, FL. This role involves developing individualized instruction plans, managing IEPs, and working closely with school staff to promote student achievement and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff.
Requirements (Florida – Federal & State):
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate with a certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
• Level II background screening and fingerprint clearance through Florida DOE.
• Understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and accommodations/modifications.
