About the position

Insulet Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), focusing on Commercial Analytics & Reporting. This pivotal role is designed to shape our analytic and reporting strategy, developing tools that provide meaningful commercial insights and drive business performance. The Senior Manager will be responsible for defining the financial commercial metrics that are reported, implementing process improvements, including system implementations, and serving as the primary contact for ongoing global and corporate financial commercial reporting. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial, and will work closely with the Director of FP&A US Commercial, the Director of FP&A International, and the VP of FP&A Corporate. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including evaluating current forecasting and reporting processes to identify areas for improvement, establishing a project roadmap for necessary changes, and partnering with sales operations to maintain KPI governance best practices. The Senior Manager will delve into data analytics to generate actionable insights that inform business strategy, develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting for management and board-level discussions, and train team members on best practices in process and reporting. Additionally, the role will involve working on special projects that may require complex financial modeling and project management skills, as well as advocating for strong business controls and supporting Sarbanes-Oxley processes within Insulet. This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements, allowing for flexibility in work location, which can also include hybrid on-site/virtual options as desired. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial planning and analysis, particularly within a global growth-oriented, publicly-traded company, and will have a proven track record as an effective financial business partner with a focus on internal customer service.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate current state end-to-end forecasting and reporting processes and identify areas for improvement.

• Establish and manage project roadmap for process changes and improvements.
,
• Partner with sales operations to establish and maintain KPI governance best practices including data sourcing, calculations, validation, consolidation, and reporting.

• Generate actionable insights from data analytics to inform business strategy.

• Develop and maintain daily/monthly/quarterly financial reporting for management and board level discussions.
,
• Train team members on process and reporting best practices.
,
• Work on special projects requiring complex financial modeling or project management skills.
,
• Advocate for strong business controls and support Sarbanes-Oxley processes.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA is a plus.
,
• 7+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in a global growth-oriented, publicly-traded company.
,
• Proven track record as an effective financial business partner with a strong internal customer service focus.
,
• Ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves
• MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.

• Strong communication, presence, and relationship building skills at senior levels.

• Experience with tier-one ERP, Business Performance Management and Customer Relationship Management tools (e.g., SalesForce.com).

• Excellent MS Office and modeling skills.

• Ability to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses.

• Experience managing projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
