Job Summary

A company is looking for a State Policy Manager to support its systems change work at the state level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track news literacy-specific legislation in all 50 states and produce monthly reports
  • Coordinate meetings with staff and key state stakeholders for coalition-building and legislative efforts
  • Advise on legislative process and strategy while representing the organization at state-level events
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience
  • A minimum of three years of experience in state legislative activity or advocacy roles
  • Experience in tracking legislation through the bill process
  • Preferred experience in public education or education policy
