Who We Are Hiring

We’re a growing virtual microschool redefining what education looks like. Our model is fast-paced, Socratic in spirit, and designed to offer unmatched value to every family we serve—through daily communication, written feedback, optional homework support, and classes that actually meet learners where they are.

We are hiring for core academic subjects—ELA, math, science, and social studies—at all levels, from foundational to advanced. Educators may focus on any grade range (early learners, middle school, or high school), and we’re equally excited to meet teachers who specialize deeply or span multiple levels.

We’re also actively expanding our enrichment and elective offerings, and we love working with educators who bring passion and expertise in high-interest areas. That includes topics like bioethics, musical theater, criminology, forensic science, financial literacy, animation, life skills, and more.

If there’s a subject you’re passionate about—and you know how to teach it in a way that sparks curiosity and builds confidence—we want to hear about it. You don’t need to fit into a traditional mold here.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We combine rigorous academic instruction with flexible, personalized experiences. Some families want grades, others want growth updates, and others want enrichment with no pressure. We provide what matters most to each learner and family—and that requires educators who can adjust accordingly.

We are a Socratic, discussion-driven microschool where classes are interactive and engaging, designed to inspire deep thinking and meaningful conversation.

We do not want:
• Lectures where students are passive listeners
• PDF-based lessons without engagement
• Boring, surface-level teaching that lacks depth and interaction

We expect:
• Dynamic discussions where students actively participate
• Socratic questioning to encourage critical thinking
• Serious education in a fun, engaging way, balancing rigor with creativity
• Thought-provoking activities that go beyond memorization
• Teachers who respond to learner needs with creativity, flexibility, and heart

Teaching Format & Expectations

This is not a curriculum-in-a-box job. You’ll have access to a full content library and class skeletons to guide your lessons, but delivery is fully in your hands. You’ll have autonomy to make the class your own, so long as it remains aligned with our structure and values. If you’d prefer to create your own classes from scratch, that’s also welcome—just be ready to take the lead and build it.
• Most classes meet once or twice per week for 30 minutes
• Max of 6 learners per session for truly personalized instruction
• No passive lectures—your sessions should be engaging, creative, and Socratic
• You’ll use our content library and outlines but have room to adapt
• Short lessons must still be high-impact and academically rich

Team Culture

While this is a 1099 contractor position, we are building more than just a collection of classes—we’re building a collaborative, mission-driven community. If you’re only looking to teach and log off, this likely won’t be the right fit.

We value educators who want to be part of something bigger. Our team culture includes:
• A private Slack group where all important updates and conversations happen
• Opportunities for professional development and collaborative meetings
• A space where we recognize great teaching, share ideas, and support each other
• A culture built on mutual respect, clear communication, and shared growth

Prompt communication with families and with our team is non-negotiable. We understand boundaries and respect personal time—but in the virtual world, responsiveness is essential to maintaining trust. You don’t need to be available around the clock, but you are expected to respond to messages within 24 hours and communicate clearly if something prevents that.

Even if you’re the best teacher in the world, we’re looking for more than just classroom skill—we’re looking for educators who want to contribute to a thriving, connected team.

Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver engaging, discussion-based virtual lessons
• Provide meaningful, constructive feedback after each session
• Offer optional homework support or grading when families request it
• Maintain open communication with families based on their individual needs
• Foster a respectful, inclusive learning space built on trust and curiosity
• Adapt and grow with our evolving course offerings and learner base

Qualifications
• Licensed educator or bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• Must live in the United States and be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor
• Experience with online platforms and strong digital teaching skills
• Able to teach multiple subjects or a deep specialty with confidence
• Willing to grow with an ever-evolving company that follows market demand
• Comfortable with change, feedback, and shifting expectations
• Must be kind, flexible, patient, and committed to providing serious value

Compensation & Work Schedule
• Pay ranges from $10–$35 per 30 min session, depending on enrollment
• Rates are based on learner count, not experience, and are non-negotiable
• Educators are expected to provide the same high-quality experience regardless of class size
• This is a 1099 contractor position
• Pay is for live teaching time; prep, feedback, and communication are included in your role
• No marketing required—learners are provided for you

Hiring Process
• Application Submission – Answer all required questions; incomplete submissions will not move forward
• Video Introduction – Once invited, you’ll receive instructions on submitting a short intro
• Mock Class – Teach a sample session with a real learner and submit follow-up feedback
• Onboarding – Includes background check, ID verification, contract signing, bio, and training
• Final Policies Meeting & Tech Setup – Get fully onboarded to our platform and payment system
