Senior X++ Developer

Function
• Design and develop custom solutions within D365 F&O, leveraging X++ programming to create efficient and scalable business logic implementations that meet organizational needs
• Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs, ensuring alignment with system architecture and best practices
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all customizations, including technical specifications, solution designs, and deployment procedures
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues across both self-developed and inherited code bases, implementing robust solutions while maintaining system stability
• Manage project tasks and progress through Azure DevOps and Jira, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders and timely delivery of solutions
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit test suites to ensure code quality and reliability
• Participate in deployment planning and execution across development, test, and production environments
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders
• Stay current with D365 F&O platform updates and best practices, adapting development approaches accordingly
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing customizations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O using X++
• 5+ years of experience with SQL (MS TSQL, Postgres) development, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
• 2+ years of experience working with D365 APIs, including OData and REST endpoints
• Proven experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration and automation
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O architecture and functional capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Time zone: US Central
Working Hours: TBD – Late night and/or Early morning coverage for client systems, overlapping with standard working hours
