Position Overview

As a Commercial Lighting Project Manager you'll be responsible for coordinating all phases of lighting projects — from kickoff through final completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of lighting systems, and excellent communication skills to manage clients, crews, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of commercial lighting projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and completeness
• Develop project schedules and ensure deadlines and milestones are met
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to ensure jobsite readiness
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Manage budgets, track job costs, and submit change orders when necessary
• Ensure work is performed according to code, safety standards, and quality expectations
• Conduct jobsite walkthroughs and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues
• Close out projects with punch lists, final inspections, and client hand-offs

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing commercial lighting or electrical projects
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, controls, and installation practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, lighting layouts, and electrical plans
• Proven track record of managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple job sites
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical background or field installation experience
• Familiarity with energy codes and rebate/incentive programs
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training
