The Role: 


As an Ecommerce Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data and trends to increase online sales and improve customer experience. You will work closely with marketing, catalog and product teams to optimize website performance, identify areas of improvement, and develop strategies to increase revenue. You will also be responsible for monitoring website traffic, analyzing user behavior, and conducting market research to stay on top of industry trends. Successful candidates will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth through ecommerce channels.



Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis: Analyze e-commerce data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to customer behavior, sales performance, and marketing effectiveness. 
  • Reporting and Presentation: Generate reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders, including enterprise strategy managers and developers. 
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand competitive landscapes, identify opportunities, and stay up-to-date on industry trends. 
  • Optimization and Improvement: Make data-driven recommendations for improving e-commerce processes, website performance, and marketing strategies. 
  • Collaboration: Work cross functionally to identify data needs, implement definitions and ensure data flows are dependable and trustworthy.
  • Forecasting: Use forecasting models to predict future demand to build client budget strategies.
  • KPI Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the effectiveness of e-commerce initiatives.
  • Data Collection: Be the internal SME in our site tagging solution, working  with development team to have new tags implemented and track relevant user behavior
  • Goal Setting: Help define and measure success for website performance across numerous goals: audience acquisition, retention, engagement and conversion


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Capable of analyzing KPIs and making recommendations for change as they pertain to sales, events, promotions, outbound communications, user generated content, marketing initiatives and site performance
  • Experience with website or ecommerce business models, including digital marketing channels (SEO, email, retargeting, display advertising, etc.), A/B testing, systems, and content management.
  • 2-5 years of experience with web analytics tool, preferably Google Analytics
  • Solid understanding of website tagging (e.g. GTM or Tealium).
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel required; proficiency with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau a plus
  • Ability to navigate large datasets, with SQL knowledge preferred. Experience with enterprise data platforms (Databricks, BigQuery) a plus.
  • Must be highly analytical, comfortable working with numbers and able to provide a data-driven rationale for new projects. Solid foundation of statistical skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with a team to execute tasks and projects and achieve desired results
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment


$88,000 - $108,000 a year
