Who We’re Hiring:

As a Fleet Coordinator, you will be a core member of the Ride Health Fleet Management team.  Through successfully managing relationships with our partnered healthcare clients, and their contracted non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers, you will have an immediate impact on the availability of healthcare services for older adults and people with disabilities.  As you collaborate with key stakeholders to meet client and internal requirements, policies, and procedures, you will be providing these vulnerable populations with the freedom and convenience of reliable, safe transportation.  Success in this position will require exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, creative problem solving, time management, and proficiency working with various computer applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates for this position must be located in the California Central Valley area or willing to commute daily to that region.
  • Monitor transportation provider performance to ensure safety, reliability and effective transportation that is in compliance with client contracts and Ride Health standards.
  • Conduct appropriate vendor review to monitor operational expectations.
  • Field responsibilities include transportation provider relationship management at the client’s office and program locations, as well as onsite emergency incident presence.
  • Maintain departmental compliance with company policies, recordkeeping, and procedures.  Ensure departmental adherence to applicable laws and regulations (federal, state, local, and DOT).
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives; this includes extensive collaboration with the Ride Operations dispatch and scheduling teams.
  • Communicate to key stakeholders all pertinent information captured after all site visits, conference calls, work groups, and team meetings.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that partner NEMT providers comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
  • Conduct transportation provider information sessions to educate vendors regarding driver and attendant responsibilities, proper procedures related to behavior management, passenger sensitivity, safety, and quality service delivery.
  • Conduct visits to transportation provider and client sites as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of transportation-related management experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in DOT, local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and regulations related to transportation, NEMT, and PACE programs.
  • Working knowledge of GPS-enabled fleets.
  • Ability to multitask; excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with common software applications and online tools
