Senior UI Programmer, Unreal Engine

Rushdown Studios is a co-dev studio. We work on many different games! We specialize in online multiplayer games. With credits in games like Among Us, Last Epoch, Palia and many more. We're helping build some of the best games in the world.

We want someone who is excited to join a small, fast growing group of developers. You will be focused on building performant UX/UI in Unreal Engine to ship a multiplayer game.

How we work?

We have an office in Saratoga Springs, NY. Half of the team is fully remote and the other half is hybrid in the office. Willing to relocate is a plus but not required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Get up to speed quickly with an existing large project.
• Profile game UI in Unreal Engine and prioritize perf fixes as a result.
• Develop best practices for the team for using UMG + Slate performantly.
• Research and propose improvements to UI processes and pipelines.
• Write UI code that can be repurposed where needed for multiple menus.

Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interest in gaming.
• Proficiency in C++.
• Strong Experience with Unreal Engine's UMG + Slate.
• Experience with memory management tooling & profiling.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Strong communicator - proactive about unblocking yourself, asking questions, and navigating obstacles with a team.
• Experience developing user interfaces for PC or console games.
