Policy Services Training Specialist

Overview: 

SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking an experienced individual responsible for developing and delivering specialized training programs for employees within a specific department at SageSure Policy Services. They analyze training needs as identified by the business, create tailored curricula, and deliver effective training sessions. The Policy Services Training Specialist serves as an extension of the business unit they support, ensuring that the training aligns with departmental goals and enhances employee performance. 

What you’d be doing: 

  • Develops, implements, and delivers training programs for individuals within assigned line of business 
  • Coordinates training schedules and develops basic project plans with the assigned department 
  • Formulates teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. 
  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works. 
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. 
  • Assists employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions. 
  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.  
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback. 
  • Leads and coordinates training efforts with Vendor/Agency partners to align company programming  

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 3+ years’ training experience  
  • Managing and motivating teams and associates experience 
  • Ability to work flexible hours if needed to deliver training 
  • Strong customer service skills and thorough knowledge of property & casualty insurance operations 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • 2+ years’ experience in property & casualty insurance 
  • Experience in curriculum development and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, or relevant experience
