Underwriting Support Representative II

Overview:

SageSure Insurance Managers is seeking a highly motivated individual with the drive and desire to make significant contributions to the success of the business. The Underwriting Support Representative II will be responsible for processing policy information in various platforms, generating notices to customers as well as various other processing assignments based on current projects and tasks. This includes but is not limited to underwriting requests, work service requests via various system platforms and policy transactions.

What you’d be doing:

  • Provide support to manager for overseeing processing functions and personnel
  • Review, fact-check and process policy change endorsements of applying and removing credits as necessary including: Pending Agency Documents, Alarms Certificates, Fortified Home Credits and Schedule Personal Property Appraisals
  • Confirm that all policies for which a credit has been applied have received correct documents and meet underwriting requirements
  • Process underwriting requests for coverage increases or decreases applying correct information to policy based upon criteria of request
  • Process cancellations notices including verifying that correct number of mail days have been applied and proof of mailing requirements have been met

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Each bullet should start with a noun or adjective
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills in various applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • 3+ years relevant data processing experience
  • 2+ year previous processing experience in Underwriting Support
  • Ability to interpret and understand basic insurance coverage
  • Active P&C License

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Underwriting knowledge a plus
